The Institute of Law

The Institute of Law of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University was established in 2024 as a result of the restructuring of the Institute of Law and Politics, which was founded in 2012. The institute implements the educational and scientific process for the full cycle of academic education: bachelor's degree - master's degree - postgraduate studies in the field of "Law". The goal of the Institute is to train highly qualified specialists who possess the necessary scientific knowledge and practical skills in their chosen specialty/profile, profile with research skills, able to navigate independently in rapidly changing conditions and possessing a moral and progressive civic stance.

The Institute's objectives are as follows:
  1. Improvement of the educational process, implementation of innovative educational technologies, teaching methods, enhancement of education quality, and development of the Institute's competitive advantages:
  2. updating educational programs in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standards according to the laws and regulations related to higher professional education of Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation:
  3. Integration of scientific and educational activities:
  4. expansion of the field of interdisciplinary research:
  5. commercialization of in-demand areas of education through the organization of additional education and retraining of specialists in the business sector:
  6. Improvement of the conditions for self-development and self-realization of all participants in the educational and scientific processes and ensuring the principle of "feedback" from students and the faculty.
  7. Attracting qualified educators and talented young specialists to research and teaching activities and stimulating their work.
  8. Strengthening and developing departments as a fundamental factor in ensuring highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel and improving the qualifications of the teaching staff corporate structure:
  9. the development and intensification of institutional cooperation with leading foreign universities and research institutions at various levels, participation in national and international projects competitions, grants, conferences, etc. Providing a unique opportunity to participate in international competitions (the International Law Competition named after Philipp Jessup, the F.F. Martens International Humanitarian Law Competition, the Jean Pictet International Competition, Model of the International Criminal Court, Model of the Nuremberg Tribunal, Lomonosov Olympiad, etc.
  10. integration into international scientific and educational projects:
  11. promoting the formation of civic and moral positions by activating the activities of student organizations, research centers, debate clubs, etc.
  12. Material and technical support, as well as information and communication support for the scientific and educational activities of the Institute.
  13. Strengthening and attracting additional sources of financial support:
  14. Organizational and regulatory support for the Institute's activities: development of scientific and educational programs and projects, program documents related to the educational process and research activities:
  15. marketing of the labor market by specialties/profiles of the Institute, organization of internships and student placements in institutions of potential employers, and the formation of demand for less in-demand specialties.
  16. Direction of the best students for internships in international organizations and leading foreign universities; etc.

The Institute has 4 departments:
Department of Legal Theory and Constitutional Law;
Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure Law;
Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law;
Department of International and European Law.
